We have developed the rationale for the Mine Closure and Sustainable Development Fund Regulation of “Erdenet Industry” LLC, tailored to the needs of the company.
As part of the report preparation, we conducted an in-depth study of research reports from international organizations, academic works, legal and regulatory frameworks applicable both internationally and locally, as well as widely used methodologies related to mine closure and rehabilitation.
Additionally, we analyzed the legal framework for closure funds, mine closure cost estimation methodologies, financial assurance instruments commonly used worldwide, and the prerequisites necessary for establishing a mine closure and sustainable development fund, all of which have been incorporated into the report.
