We help our clients develop a mine closure plan that meets international best practices and Mongolian legal requirements. We assist in calculating mine closure costs and providing financial guarantees for mine closure.​

In April 2014, QMC LLC initiated the “Mongol Gan Complex 1” project to establish a mining and metallurgical complex in Darkhan-Uul province. The project is located within the premises of Darkhan Metallurgical Plant JSC and is designed to produce 350,000 tons of steel rolled products annually.

The feasibility study for the project was developed in compliance with the “Basic Requirements and Acceptance Procedure for Feasibility Studies in the Heavy Industry Sector”, as approved by the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry.

Since 2009, QMC has been actively collaborating with the Government of Mongolia on mine closure initiatives. Our contributions encompassed policy studies on “mine closure related regulatory environment” and “Biodiversity offsetting and Mine closure” in 2012.​
